Want to share your RV story or connect with fellow travelers? Join the conversation in our Facebook community and use #LTRVCommunity to share your journey.

You've seen the Instagram highlights. The YouTube videos. The TikToks. Perfectly framed sunset campsite photos. Smiling families in front of national park signs. But what about the real stories behind those images? The midnight tire blowouts or the first-time nerves at the beet harvest. The moment someone decided to sell their 6,000-square-foot house for a 32-foot life on wheels.

Those stories matter. And they're exactly what you're missing.

Our RV community thrives on shared experiences. But too often, we only hear from the loudest voices or the most polished content creators. What about the family that just launched three months ago? The solo traveler navigating pickleball tournaments across the country? The couple who transformed their quilting business to fit in a 25-foot rig?

Every RVer has a story worth telling.

What This Episode Is About

We’ve got big news for you in this episode of Learn To RV: The Podcast! And you know we mean it, because Tasha is using exclamation points! Today, we’re introducing something entirely new to the Learn To RV family. We’re launching the Community Spotlight Series, a weekly Thursday feature wholly dedicated to sharing stories from real RVers just like you and us.

This isn't an interview with an RV influencer or industry expert. This is your neighbor, three campsites over. The family you pass at the Tampa RV show. The person who answered your frantic Facebook post about generator problems at 2 a.m. These are the real campsite stories we all need to hear, and this is our campfire.

We’ll also be sprinkling in interviews with the makers of the RV products you want to know about — how did their product get made, how does it work (does it work?!?), and why you should consider supporting that homegrown business.

We’re so excited to invite you along on this journey. We’re eager to share why we created this new series and why we think it matters to our community. We’ll also unpack how you can get involved, whether you've been on the road for 13 years or you're still researching rigs from your break at work. Get sneak peeks from upcoming interviews, including families who've worked the beet harvest, ambassadors for giving-back organizations, and couples who've made the leap from traditional living to full-time RV life.

This episode is essential listening if you're:

  • Tired of polished, perfect RV content and craving real, authentic stories
  • Looking for practical advice from people who are actually living this lifestyle
  • Wondering if your own RV story is worth sharing
  • Interested in connecting with a diverse, welcoming community of travelers
  • Curious about different ways to make money on the road
  • Wanting to hear from families, solo travelers, retirees, and everyone in between
  • Ready to get involved with Learn To RV beyond just listening to podcasts
  • Seeking inspiration from people who've overcome the same fears you're facing
  • Looking for your Campfire Crew

This episode introduces you to a new way of experiencing the Learn To RV community. Every Thursday, you'll hear 30-minute conversations with real people navigating real RV life, from weekend warriors to full-timers who've been on the road for days to years. Because we believe it’s sharing stories like these that help us all succeed and thrive.

Join us to discover the heart behind the Community Spotlight Series and why representation matters. We share our passion for featuring diverse voices, from families RVing with kids to solo travelers, people just launching to those settling down after years on the road.

Learn about upcoming Community Spotlight features, including:

  • Teal Albert's experience at the beet harvest and work as a seRV ambassador

  • And more

Ways to Get Involved

We go way beyond just introducing the series in this episode. We talk about several ways you can get involved with Learn To RV: The Podcast and the community:

Ready to Dive Deeper?

This isn't just an announcement. We’re inviting you to become part of what’s growing here. The Learn To RV community is built on the belief that no question is too basic, no story is too small, and no journey is too different to matter.

Jennifer shares the vision behind closed Facebook groups designed to be safe spaces where you can ask about everything from finding a good hairdresser to navigating decision fatigue on the road. We also discuss upcoming features like a foodie group, expanded Thousand Trails resources, and more ways to connect with fellow travelers who understand your unique lifestyle.

Whether you're dreaming about RV life from your couch or you're currently parked at a campground wondering how to connect with community, this episode will give you a new and exciting way to get plugged in.

Your Story Matters

Here's what we want you to know: your story doesn't have to be extraordinary to be valuable. You don't need years of experience, a massive following, or perfectly curated content. You just need to be willing to share your journey authentically.

Maybe you're the person who figured out how to manage chronic illness on the road. Or you're navigating roadschooling for the first time. Maybe you just survived your first winter in an RV and learned some hard lessons. Perhaps you're still in the dreaming phase, researching and planning, and wondering if you can really do this.

All of those stories matter. They all help someone else feel less alone, make better decisions, or find the courage to take their next step.

The Community Spotlight Series exists because the three of us believe that community isn't built by industry experts talking at us, but rather by travelers sharing with other travelers. By people who understand firsthand that this lifestyle is messy and beautiful and constantly evolving.

We believe our community today is best built the same way it has historically been built — by passing traditions, lessons, recipes, and, yes, even wild and crazy legends, down to others through our stories. Whether it’s at Grandma’s kitchen table, circled around a campfire, or coming through your earbuds, this is how community grows. Through oral tradition and shared human experiences. And it’s through this connection that we learn as a community to do better and become stronger together.

So, every Thursday, you'll meet someone new. Someone who might become your next campground neighbor. Someone whose story might answer a question you've been too afraid to ask. Someone who reminds you why you fell in love with this lifestyle in the first place. Or sparks a new passion you never knew existed.

The RV community is waiting for you. Not the highlight reel version. The real one. The one where people share their wins and their struggles, their brilliant hacks and their expensive mistakes, their joy and their homesickness.

So wherever you’re listening from, there's a place for you here. Your story matters. And the community can't wait to hear it.
