It's that time again!

Hello, Mr. Kitty Duck.

You sound like a kitty duck. So he's gonna be my mascot for the next thing we do. I've gotta find him in the white and blue hat. Well So you remember what we did last year? Not in May. I think a little later in the season. You know when I started pulling out my hair and and losing my mind one week at a time? Scavenger hunt.

Yeah. I was last year I was player. Last year I got beef jerky.

Oh, yeah, she's coming back to sponsor again. So we have a whole new lineup of sponsors. Lots more, actually. Really? Um super excited. But I don't get to be a player this year. So yeah. Well, I mean, you can play. You just can't win. So this guy I got for Christmas, and he's gonna be our mascot for our team. Um, and even though I can't play, I can still play, right? So the Learn to RV scavenger hunt is now but gonna be called this year because it's America's 250th. And so Steve Gallagher came on board and helps with with graphic design now, and so he has dubbed it the great American scavenger hunt. So I have to find a hat that's just the right size for him. Nice.

So I I need to make sure that you know that he can't he can't win either. Chickadee duck cannot win prizes. If I can't win prizes, Chickadee Duck can't win prizes.

Right. I understand this. Do you understand? I don't think he understands this, but he'll be okay.

Okay, he needs to get on board. No prizes for Chickadee Duck. It's time.

So scavenger hunt. So how it works is in July, uh-huh, it is in July, every week we do a brand new set of like different scavenger hunt items, but we're pairing up with a new brand this year to help with it because I'm not staying up till four in the morning every night on Saturday night totaling all those countings, and I don't think he wants to either.

No, not good with numbers. We all know that my math is bad.

He he only has three toes on each feet, so we don't we can't count that high. So, anyway, so uh rv ar v e dot i o is our pathway to the scavenger hunt. It's not set up yet. There's a landing page, there's all sorts of things coming, but it will be set up by June 15th to start registering for the scavenger hunt.

Fantastic. Do you remember how it worked? I remember that there were things that we had to find, and then we had to take a picture of the things that we found, and then we had to submit them if our team code gets our points.

Well, some of that's kind of the same, but what's neat this year is those team points will be automatically collected when you submit them to RV. So that's what simplifies it this year. There's still a Facebook group, so we can all interact and have some fun together. So you want to be in the Facebook group for sure, and that will be on the landing page as well. But yeah, so it's gonna be lots of fun. So every week, what's neat about this scavenger hunt is every week the points reset. So if you're in from the first the first week, you know, and you can't play week two, guess what? It's okay. And somebody else can win. Starts over, correct. And so week three starts over, week four starts over, but here's the catch: if you're in it for all four weeks, you could be on the leaderboard. So RV's actually gonna have a leaderboard. And so the sponsors that we have coming on this year, we're our we've already more than doubled the sponsors from last year. Right now, it's that exciting, and we've got a lot more coming on. And so the leaderboard potentially has different sponsors for that too. So we're we've got an option for sponsors that want to sponsor the leaderboard at a higher level. Those people are gonna be checking in for their scores all week long, and so it's just a great way to do it. But at the end of the month, that last week, all your points add up together.

And it's what happens to all of those points.

So they all get added. Well, so each week there's prizes, and at the end of the month, there's some grand prizes. So there'll be first, second, and third place, and then there's gonna be one for I think bragging rights. I don't know, you and I have to figure that out. What do you want to do them for? Like quirkiest, like I don't know.

Like we we have to have two categories. I feel like if we've got a chickadee duck happening here, that there should be like most uh submissions with a mascot. Like her team has to have its own mascot. Whoever's got the most mascots in their pictures. You know, I her family has a mascot. It's a little what's your mascot? It's poppy from the Red Sox. Big Poppy. It's a little and it's a pop. I've seen him. You know, he he hides in a lot of our our pictures whenever we go out into public and do things. So uh it's just like a fun thing for us to go. Wait a minute, where did we hide him this time? So, you know, I know that there are a lot of families that do that. That would be fun. What if it was like people dressed up like Chickadee Duck? Frank could do that.

That's good. All right, so if you're out there listening, now's your time to notice this. So learn to RV, the great American scavenger hunt is coming to your phone. It's all virtual. You can do it from anywhere. And so that's what's great about this. One registration per family per household. And we want to keep it fair for everyone. So, you know, not his and hers in the same household. But at the same time, there's so much to do in this. So it's a lot of fun, but it's a lot of work from this side. But learned RV's here for it. It's not quite the same. I'd have to cut my hair off like a Monkey T to be like Chickadee Duck, I'm afraid. Because he has a real cool leg.
